At the foot of Palafox and stretching east and west, the wharves and railroad terminus along the bay reflect the commerce of a seaport town.  Lilos Restaurant is located adjacent to the pier. transpixel

In 1559 the Spanish explorer, Tristan DeLuna established the first community in North America at Pensacola because of it's geographical advantages. There was ample room for a deep water port in a sheltered bay.
